A: If you don't eat right your heart will beat fast, for being low on energy. Types of food that athletes should eat are very healthy foods, foods that don't affect the heart in a bad way.
5.) Q: How does substance abuse affect the heart? Why is this bad for an athlete?
A: Thickens your muscle of the heart, some drugs stop the heart. This would be bad for an athlete because they need a good heart to be able to run and do other activities. =]
